Later, Najimi invites Komi and Tadano to a summer festival. Komi worries about forgetting writing materials, but Tadano offers assistance. They enjoy various stalls, and Komi wins a video game console by beating Tadano in a shooting game. She successfully compliments Tadano’s appearance and writes a note expressing her enjoyment of their time together, erasing it before he sees it. The group then visits Tadano’s home, meeting his sister Hitomi. As they reminisce about the summer, Komi breaks down in tears, revealing for the first time that she does not want the season to end.
