Ep. 3: Zatch and Kiyo Face Hosokawa and Reycom in a Battle Over the Mamodo Book
Zatch desires to attend school with Kiyo, who refuses, prompting Kiyo to create the Volcan 300 to distract him. After Kiyo gains popularity for saving hostages at the Mochinoki Bank, Kane expresses frustration. During their walk home, Zatch and Kiyo are ambushed by Hosokawa and his Mamodo, Reycom. Hosokawa, a former delivery man, seeks Zatch’s book to control another Mamodo for robbery. He reveals he met Reycom at his warehouse and forced him to read the book after being fired. Kiyo observes that while Hosokawa wears fine clothes, Reycom remains poor, leading to a conflict. Reycom freezes Kiyo with Furizudo and captures Zatch, but Hosokawa cannot read the book. Zatch thaws Kiyo with Zakeru. Despite Reycom’s acceptance of his abuse, Kiyo casts Rashirudo to summon a shield, reflecting Reycom’s Gikor spell and destroying his book, causing the Mamodo to vanish.
