Alsheyra tells Layfon he may choose to return to Glendan. Haia asks Gorneo for information about the Fallen One. Layfon gives his adamandite sword to Harley for repairs and refuses to use a katana. In a flashback, Ramis meets a traveling inspector who promises protection via plea bargain from a man linked to the Kalfa family. Nina worries about Layfon until Naruki interrupts to ask for help with overload smuggling. Felli meets Haia, Myunfa, and Kalian at the train station. Naruki suspects Dinn, so Nina confronts him alone. Dinn claims his actions aim to strengthen the city. Nina explains to Layfon and Naruki that Sharnid left the 10th Platoon during an inter-platoon match. Dinn challenged Sharnid, who accepted a beating without defense. Sharnid then joined the 17th Platoon. Kalian proposes disbanding the 10th Platoon, requiring Layfon and Haia to stop Dinn, though Haia views Layfon as a disgrace for relying on the adamandite sword rather than mastering the katana.
