The corpse of John Stanley, a former servant of Queen Victoria, is discovered in the River Thames. Ash instructs Ciel to recover a specific item from the body. Ciel consults Lau, who controls the discovery site, but Lau is unfamiliar with Stanley. Lau mentions a new illicit substance called Lady Blanc, a name that reminds Ciel of Angela. Subsequently, a significant quantity of this drug is found in one of Ciel's warehouses. Lau and Ciel are accused of drug trafficking, though Lau manages to escape. Ciel is separated from Sebastian, who is imprisoned in the Tower of London. It is revealed that Ashe ordered the arrest, using the planted drugs as a pretext.
