The Empress authorizes D'Eon and his allies to use any method required to capture Vorontsov. Meanwhile, Pyotr III fears accusations regarding the Empress's assassination attempt and intends to blame his wife, Ekaterina. Vorontsov, having received a Psalm from Lorenza, issues a duel challenge to D'Eon via letter. Their fight is interrupted when the structure they occupy collapses. In a separate event, Maximilien infiltrates a meeting between Elizaveta and her new parliament. He transforms the parliament members into Gargoyles and proceeds to kill Elizaveta successfully.
