Kudryavka chooses to take a national proficiency test at school, prompting her Little Busters friends to assist with her studies, particularly in English and sciences. Komari tutors her in English while Mio covers math and physics. During a meal with Riki and Masato, Kudryavka is mocked by other girls until Yuiko intimidates them away. Later, in the library, Kudryavka shares memories of her grandfather, who raised her and took her to Tebwa, a small island nation in Southeast Asia where she was born. Kanata returns a book on the many-worlds interpretation, noting Kudryavka’s hobby of reading for international exams. On test day, Kudryavka incorrectly marks her answer sheet, forcing her into a remedial class. Feeling guilty about failing despite her friends' help, she is comforted when the rest of the Little Busters join her in the remedial session to demonstrate their unwavering support.
