The group, including Yui and Nanako, travels to the beach for summer activities. Yui mimics Initial D while driving, and Nanako gets lost before they reach a Japanese inn for the night. After the beach day, Nanako becomes too intoxicated to drive, prompting a return to the inn for showers and a second night. Upon returning home, the twins are assigned to clean their bedrooms. Konata discusses cleaning strategies with Kagami, while Miyuki is warned by her mother to visit the dentist or face a home visit. In Lucky Channel, Akira threatens Minoru and displays a censored middle finger to the audience. This episode reintroduces Konata Izumi, who later complains about concert fans and the idol lifestyle.
