Ep. 17: Lupin III investigates the murder of Countess Isabelle de Maunbassant at her chateau
Aired on August 1, 2018Filler

Countess Isabelle de Maunbassant invites Lupin to solve her husband Philippe’s murder, offering an emerald ring as a reward. She gathers three suspects at her chateau: gem collector Frederick Autorett, her nephew Allan Dubois, and failed businessman Pierre Schmidt. During the announcement, a blackout occurs, and the Countess is fatally shot. Before dying, she locks the chateau, giving Lupin until dawn to find the killer. Disguised as detective Jim Barnett III and aided by maid Marie, Lupin identifies the true culprits as Allan Dubois and his twin brother, who had secretly entered to commit the crime. After resolving the case, Lupin leaves the ring with the Countess and invites Marie to become a private investigator.
