The inspector located them easily because a new online game titled "Arrest Lupin III" has gone viral, with players posting sightings of Lupin. This leads to a chase, causing Lupin to become increasingly frustrated by the intense pursuit.

They board a cruise ship bound for Bwanda, a nation not part of the ICPO, ensuring Zenigata cannot pursue them. While there, Ami wanders off and is attacked by street thugs but is rescued by Lupin. They discuss her relationship with the team, and Lupin advises her to stay for protection from Marco Polo. Suddenly, they come under attack from bounty hunters involved in a new online game betting on the day Lupin will die.

Apr 18, 2018Ami and Lupin are trapped on a beach by three bounty hunters, but Lupin shoots his way out. They are followed by a quadcopter feeding images into the online game Happy Deathday. Cornered in a car manufacturing plant by the Rat Clan, Ami accesses the German CPS to protect them. They escape in a partly-built car, but Ami is shot. Meanwhile, Zenigata decides to go on holiday to Bwanda. While Lupin's team removes the bullet from her arm, Ami tells them about her past. Lupin decides to fight and announces online that he is at the ruins of an old town. He figures that each bounty hunter group wants him left alive until the day they bet he will die, causing a deadly competition between them. As their numbers diminish, Daisuke and Goemon eliminate the survivors. Lastly, the leader of the Rat Clan and Lupin face off in a shoot-out, but Lupin wins with a gun hidden in his shoe. Finally Fujiko parachutes down, hoping to be the one to kill Lupin.

They attempt to cross the border but face attacks from a Bwandan military helicopter. The trio works together to evade their pursuers, reaching the border fence where a sniper targets them. Zenigata takes Ami across to meet his assistant, Yatagarasu, while Lupin acts as a decoy. The policemen create smoke with a grass fire to hide Lupin, who appears to be shot in the head. Following this confrontation, the Happy Deathday game concludes and the winner is officially announced.

This scenario is actually a counter-trap orchestrated by Lupin, utilizing Ami’s hacking skills and assistance from Jigen, Goemon, and Fujiko. Zenigata, suspecting Lupin’s survival, arrests Glay for drug dealing. Inspired by these events, Ami enrolls in a girls boarding school to experience the normal life she previously missed.

May 9, 2018To prevent foreclosure on their family workshop, a young inventor proposes that Lupin can solve their financial troubles. He and his older brother construct a smart safe for the Greater Tokyo Bank, which opens exclusively for individuals lacking brainpower, challenging Lupin, the world's smartest thief. Frustrated by this barrier, Jigen, Fujiko, and Goemon subject Lupin to a cruel regimen of sleep deprivation, beatings, and exercise to destroy his brain cells. During the public opening ceremony, Lupin consumes numerous blueback fish, causing his brainpower to surge and the safe's IQ counter to overflow to zero. This allows him to open the safe. The contest concludes as a draw, but the brothers gain fame and sell canned fish, saving their business.

He discovers the painting conceals a notebook with details about crimes suppressed by the French police, evidence capable of ruining high-ranking officials. A terrorist organization known as the Whales of Liberation seizes the school, holding students and faculty hostage. Fujiko Mine, who had infiltrated the institute to steal the jewel, rescues Ami, and the two allies from within to combat the captives. They receive assistance from Lupin’s gang, who have also detected the threat. During the conflict, a teacher reveals his true identity as McGuire, a CIA special agent, and attempts to remove Dolma, claiming that Padar faces imminent danger.
