Spritle and Prince Jam successfully thwart the plotters, resulting in the prince being crowned. Spritle discovers he is legally eligible to enter the race because the group crossed the International Date Line. This crossing shifted the calendar, making the current day one day later than they originally believed. Consequently, the deadline for registration has not yet passed, allowing Spritle to participate in the competition.
