Ep. 2: The trio explores a dangerous desert layer and tracks a thief who stole Riko's White Whistle.

Riko, Reg, and Nanachi explore the sixth layer, a hot desert environment filled with ruins and dangerous wildlife. Riko tries to send a mail balloon to the surface, but it is intercepted by flying creatures. A mysterious being observes them silently. The next day, Riko discovers her White Whistle is missing. Nanachi finds clues indicating the thief recovered the balloon and entered their camp unnoticed. Reg follows the scent to a large structure protected by a force field that repels the Curse. The trio enters the structure while the observer watches. Inside, they find a village inhabited by Hollows. A Hollow named Majikaja greets them and agrees to help them retrieve the stolen White Whistle.
