Ep. 11: Homura's Time Loops Create Madoka's Witch Potential Amidst Walpurgisnacht Crisis
Kyubey explains to Homura that her repeated time travel to save Madoka has made her the focal point of countless timelines, thereby amplifying Madoka’s potential to become a powerful witch. Following Sayaka’s funeral, Kyubey reveals the history of magical girls to Madoka, causing her significant distress. Madoka’s mother, Junko, notices Madoka’s secretive behavior. Madoka confronts Homura, who admits her inability to defeat Walpurgisnacht and begs Madoka to let her protect her. During a city-wide storm, Homura fights Walpurgisnacht alone but is nearly defeated. Upon learning from Kyubey that Homura risks becoming a witch if she loses hope, Madoka decides to intervene. Despite Junko’s attempts to stop her, Madoka leaves to find Homura. As Homura nears despair and transformation, Madoka arrives with Kyubey, announcing her intention to make a wish.
