Ep. 12: Madoka becomes a god-like entity to prevent witches from existing across time.

Madoka uses her immense power to wish for all witches to never exist, transforming into a divine being. She defeats Walpurgisnacht and spreads across spacetime, absorbing despair to ensure fallen magical girls disappear peacefully rather than becoming witches. Homura witnesses Madoka destroying the witch born from her Soul Gem, after which Madoka fades into a higher plane, becoming omnipresent yet forgotten by humans. She leaves Homura a ribbon to preserve her memory. Madoka joins Sayaka, who succumbed to her fate after Madoka respected her wish to heal Kyosuke. Homura returns to a world where Madoka does not exist, while Mami and Kyouko remain alive. Only Homura retains memories of Madoka as they continue fighting wraiths, with magical girls now disappearing instead of turning into witches. Homura remains determined to protect the city Madoka loved.
