Ep. 90: Godai Learns Kyoko Moved Out and Faces Rejection at Chigusa's Home

Godai discovers Kyoko has left Maison Ikkoku and informs the tenants about Kozue. They urge him to retrieve her, refusing his return until she comes back. Godai visits Chigusa's house, but Kyoko rejects him, claiming their relationship was a mistake and forbidding future contact. Locked out of Ikkoku, he tries to enter through Kentaro's window. For five days, he visits Kyoko daily while her father informs Mr. Otonashi of her permanent departure. Otonashi arrives to find the building messy and the tenants complaining about the lack of cleaning. Consequently, he appoints Godai as the new temporary manager. Godai calls Kyoko to share this news, causing her to reconsider her impulsive decision to leave.
