Takeru apologizes to Haruko for seeing her shower by inquiring about the student council's security committee. As vice president, Haruko explains that this body ensures fair duels and protects participants, distinct from the magical enforcer committee. At a school track duel, Azuki defeats Kai Kuragasa using her mechanized boot Maken, Hawk, against his steel-hardening Maken, Full Metal. Inspired, Takeru joins the committee alongside Kengo and Inaho. The group attends a mixed-bathing onsen party where members wear swimsuits. Despite formal introductions, Takeru and Kengo continue to stare at their female peers. A sudden bear intrusion allows the members to display their powers, demonstrating the spirit of the magical security organization known as Maken-ki.
