MAO

A young mystic from early 1900s Japan, Mao is an onmyoji cursed with an extended life spanning nine centuries. His existence takes an unusual turn when he encounters Nanoka Kiba, a junior high student from the future who has experienced personal tragedy after losing her parents in an accident. Seeking answers, Nanoka returns to the site of the incident and is transported to a past era dominated by supernatural beings. There, Mao’s cryptic inquiry leads her to reconsider her own life. The two, separated by time, join forces to confront the dark forces affecting their lives.
