Inside the Gates, Ginta and Snow meet the gentle nekomimi Meriro, while Dorothy and Jack encounter the foul-mouthed bearwoman Bumolu. Ginta discovers that Babbo is a legendary ÄRM capable of transforming into eight powerful versions. Meanwhile, Jack receives an upgrade for his weak scoop ÄRM using Dorothy's magic stones. Outside, Alan confronts an Alviss he recognizes as a former Cross Guard member from six years ago, when the Alviss was still a child. The groups proceed with their respective training sessions under the guidance of their assigned navigators, focusing on understanding ÄRM capabilities and equipment enhancement.
