However, Phantom proves too powerful and easily halts the assault. Meanwhile, Alan and Nanashi serve as test subjects for a Ghost ÄRM experiment designed to eliminate human emotions from Phantom. Before the Misty Knights can attack again, the ghost ship from Vestry appears and reveals that the Knights have been deceived by the Ghost Chess. The group learns that Alviss must personally arrive for the path to Clavier to open.
