Masako chooses to distance herself from the Takakuras, rejecting their concept of family. Meanwhile, Shouma confesses to Ringo that Himari is not his biological sister. He recalls meeting the orphaned Himari years ago while exploring his condominium during his parents' efforts to change the world. They bonded over an abandoned kitten, but their friendship was strained when the animal was taken away. Upon learning Himari had gone to the Child Broiler, a place where unwanted children vanish, Shouma rushed to rescue her. He adopted her, believing he is responsible for all her past suffering. In the present, Kanba continues discussing world-changing plans with his parents.
