Conan and the Detective Boys arrive at Aoki Keiji’s apartment, where he is working on figures with Nao Mizuhara, Kazuya Shiraishi, and Saki Midoriyama. Shiraishi appears stressed about an upcoming contest, claiming his future depends on it. The group originally included Yuri Kurose, who has passed away; winning the contest was her dream. While the others planned to visit her grave on the anniversary of her death, Shiraishi left early, insulting her memory. As the Detective Boys play in another room, Conan steps out to use the restroom and overhears a suspicious conversation between Aoki and Saki, raising concerns about the group's dynamics and Shiraishi's intense obsession with the competition.
