Conan, Haibara, Ayumi, Mitsuhiko, and Genta help solve the case while Sato and the suspect remain trapped in a building scheduled for demolition. Agasa has created a special bomb called Tropical Rainbow that explodes with all the colors of the rainbow. Amidst the chaos, the group cannot warn Agasa, so Conan knocks him out before he can push the button to demolish the building. Takagi feels extremely relieved when he learns that Sato only views Inspector Megure as a fatherly figure, resolving the romantic tension surrounding her.
