Ep. 171: Conan exposes Yoko Araide as the murderer using a pin light trap and breaker manipulation.

Conan proves Yoshiteru was murdered, noting clues like a broken vase shard that police missed. Mitsu had a small cut, and Hikaru was burned. Conan uses Kogoro to announce an experiment, which is actually a trap for killer Yoko Araide. He deduces Yoko used a pin light to blind Yoshiteru while she placed a razor in the bathtub. Hikaru restored power, killing Yoshiteru as Yoko planned. Hikaru had previously hidden a broken vase to avoid being fired. Mitsu stepped on a shard upstairs, and Ran held Tomoaki, leaving Yoko with the only opportunity. Yoko confesses she married Yoshiteru to avenge her friend Chaiki, who died by suicide due to Yoshiteru’s infidelity. Conan asks Yoko to lie to protect Hikaru from guilt. Afterwards, Ran asks Tomoaki for his sweater to knit a similar one for Shinichi.
