Conan and Heiji investigate the death of Nobukazu and the suicides of Misa, Kinuyo, and Negishi. Misa, depressed after learning she was not her father's daughter, nursed Robert back to health after a rockslide accident. Robert is suspected of killing Misa, but he has an alibi while driving with Ran and Kazuha. The group discovers Kazuha trapped in a spider web. Heiji finds a stun gun, while Conan identifies tiny window holes and fishing lines used in the crimes. Cocaine found in puppets suggests Negishi and Nobukazu were drug dealers. The detectives deduce the killer's identity and method.
