Kogoro, Ran, and Conan’s car breaks down near the ocean, leading them to seek help at the home of famous lawyer Kensuke Tachibana. They meet secretary Yuuichi Sakuraba, caretaker Yaeko Kamei, wife Yuki Tachibana, accountant Noriko Sugimura, and lawyer Fumio Fujisawa. Kensuke reveals he receives threats from someone with initials T.K. and notes his dog Yohan’s strange behavior. After Kensuke leaves for a fishing trip, the group walks the dog and spots a suspicious boat. Kensuke’s boat capsizes, and he drowns. The investigation identifies the threatener as Tatsuya Kumada, whom Kensuke acquitted five years ago for the murder of Masahiko Tsuruta. The team rushes to Kumada’s apartment, only to discover him hanging from the ceiling.
