Detective Conan investigates the strangulation of Kojima Ikuko, interviewing her daughter Chihiro, security worker Yoshioka Juro, and employee Izumi Takeo. Although Takeo had a motive due to embezzlement, evidence shows he arrived after her death. Conan notices a facial mask on the body and a missing contact lens. Chihiro admits to dressing her mother to mimic her appearance but failed to remove lipstick. Conan tranquilizes Kogoro to reveal the truth: Takeo killed Ikuko while she threatened legal action and land sale demands. During the struggle, her contact lens fell into the hem of his trousers, providing the crucial evidence that led to his confession.
