The Detective Boys investigate a spooky château inhabited by a man who remodeled the garden. The next day, resident Rokuro Wada is revealed to have died. His agent Keiichi Yagami states Wada worked on a masterpiece there for three months. The boys search the château for the painting but find nothing. Wada’s aunt Saeko Takato and caretaker Mina Eguchi arrive, citing a letter inviting them to view the masterpiece. Eguchi explains the work aims to restore Takato’s memories lost in an accident a year ago. Conan discovers a photo of a château Takato previously owned and deduces the true nature of Wada’s masterpiece.
