Ep. 586: The Kirin's Horn Vanished into Darkness
Aired on September 4, 2010

Jirokichi Suzuki secures the key in the wall while waiting for Kaitou Kid. Kid triggers a blackout and explosives shatter the windows, allowing wind to enter the shrine. As the Detective Boys guard the pedestals, the center pillar opens. When power returns, the Kirin's horn is gone, Conan is tasered, and signed cards appear on the pedestals. Jirokichi explains the shrine is steel-reinforced, meaning Kid must be disguised inside. Suspects include Jirokichi, Ginzo Nakamori, or three reporters. Haibara analyzes a pillar message and realizes the pedestals represent the Four Symbols: Vermilion Bird, White Tiger, Black Tortoise, and Azure Dragon. She concludes that activating them in the correct sequence opens the center pillar.
