Ep. 590: Conan deduces the murder method using ketchup stains and exposes Takehiko Kokubu as the killer.

Conan reveals the murder mechanism to Kogoro by creating a ketchup stain pattern that mimics the victim's blood. Kogoro identifies Takehiko Kokubu as the culprit, explaining how he used toy cars under the bed legs to slide the bed. Evidence includes Takehiko’s mistake regarding a Porsche 550 model and his manipulation of Eri’s thirst by shaking carbonated drinks to force a shower. The ashtray in his room contains Akiho’s blood, leading to his confession. Takehiko admits Akiho, a former Race-queen, married him for money after mocking their relationship. Meanwhile, Kogoro mistakenly celebrates Eri’s birthday on Health and Sports Day, confusing the date change from October 10th to the second Monday. Eri accepts the gift despite the error, but later calls angrily about receiving prayer beads, unaware Kogoro had the correct present in his desk.
