Ep. 8: The Art Museum Murder Mystery Involving a Moving Suit of Armor

Conan, Ran, and Kogoro visit a museum rumored to have a haunted medieval suit of armor. They meet curator Ochiai, owner Manaka, Iijima, and Kubota. Manaka plans to turn the profitable museum into a casino. The group discovers a restricted area where Manaka is found dead, pinned to a wall by a sword. Security footage shows the armor killing him, mimicking a painting called Divine Punishment. A note appears to implicate Kubota. Conan notices the pen used was retracted, proving the note was forged. Although bloody armor is found in Kubota’s locker, Conan suspects a frame-up. He guides Kogoro to identify Ochiai as the killer. Ochiai wrote the note to frame Kubota, who was stealing art. Ochiai confesses to killing Manaka to save the museum from conversion. The museum stays open due to public protests.
