Conan identifies the culprit's trick but is interrupted when he discovers his bow tie is missing. Kogoro begins speaking, revealing the voice originates from a smartphone hidden behind his neck. Mary uses the bow tie to expose Senpei as the culprit. Senpei attempts to flee through the balcony to the next room but is found unconscious by Conan. At the end, Mary warns Sera to remain cautious around Conan, noting he is not the same boy they encountered ten years ago.
