Following a shooting, Kogoro alerted the police but fled their protection. The culprit kidnapped Asuka, leaving her phone behind, and placed her on a conveyor belt leading to a furnace. Conan rescued her just in time. Meanwhile, Kogoro went to Shizuki Park to find Asuka. The culprit attempted to shoot Kogoro through the bushes, but the police protected him. Together, Conan and Kogoro identified the culprit and solved the case.
