Police arrive to investigate Minakitaya Otaro's death, discovering his fingerprint matches a culprit from seven years ago. Miona chan's memory of that traumatic event remains hazy. Conan deduces Otaro visited the guesthouse monthly to monitor if Miona chan would recover her lost memories. He investigates the locked room trick and identifies the other robber from seven years ago as the culprit. Conan explains the dying message, revealing the true killer. Miona chan finally regains her memory and is able to smile happily again.
