Ep. 909: The Mystery of the Burning Tent Part One
Inspector Kuroda learns that Conan, the Detective Boys, and their teacher Wakasa Rumi are visiting a new campground. At the site, Conan suspects Wakasa Rumi of premeditation after finding a receipt for five plates and mugs, suggesting she invited them to her apartment under false pretenses. He also notes recent rust removal on a basement trapdoor. Tension rises when the group encounters a university basketball team, leading to a quarrel. Conan and Haibara observe Wakasa Rumi’s reaction to mentions of a lost artificial eye. Later, Urushibara Fumiaki fails to respond from his tent, where his shadow is seen exercising. His tent suddenly catches fire, which the group extinguishes. Kuroda, staying in the adjacent tent, witnessed something. While police dismiss the incident as an accident, Conan identifies inconsistencies and concludes it was murder.
