Ran and Conan attend Hattori Heiji’s Kendo Tournament, where he intends to defeat Okita Soshi and confess to Kazuha. Ooka Momiji arrives to watch, revealing she is Okita’s classmate. Near a deserted toilet, Kendo Referee Nikitani Shido is slashed on the neck by an unknown killer in a kendo uniform. Conan and Ran discover the corpse and alert the police. A blind witness suggests the killer remains inside the bathroom. Ran meets Okita Soshi and notes his resemblance to Shinichi. Police find a bloody kendo uniform near the toilet. Meanwhile, Kazuha searches for Ran, while Momiji enjoys tea at the tournament venue.
