Kaitou Kid Uses Teleportation to Evade Jirokichi Suzuki's Net Trap

He then claims to use teleportation, vanishing in smoke and reappearing on a nearby roof ten seconds later. Kid reveals the displayed heel is a fake and promises to return the following night for the genuine pair. The next day, Kid makes another attempt to steal the Purple Nail using a similar method as before.

Conan and Ran observe Honjo arguing with critic Goro Akamaru, after which Conan witnesses Honjo striking Akamaru with a brick. Although Conan cannot find immediate evidence, he discovers blood in a barrel, realizing Akamaru’s body was moved to avoid detection. The only unexplored area is a fingerprint-secured wine storage room. During a tasting, Honjo’s prized wine is ruined because dregs mixed with the liquid. Conan examines the bottle and finds a bloody fingerprint, concluding that Akamaru regained consciousness in the cellar and sabotaged the wine as revenge before dying.
