During dinner, a TV broadcast reveals Momo as an idol, which Hibiya recognizes but Hiyori does not. Hiyori complains he missed an autograph. Hibiya recalls the difficulties of lying to his parents to spend the summer with her. The next day, Hibiya wakes in the Heat Haze, witnessing Hiyori’s repeated deaths. He ultimately sacrifices himself to save her, believing this is the only way to end the loop trapping them both.

Outside, he meets Konoha, who is searching for Hiyori and Hibiya. Meanwhile, the gang travels to the grave of their founder, who died by suicide two years ago. Konoha asks Shintaro for help spotting his missing friends. When kidnappers appear, Shintaro uses his strength to save Hiyori and Hibiya, but a truck threatens them. Later, a younger Shintaro challenged her with Ayano present; Takane lost and faced criticism, though Ayano apologized and they became friends. Ayano revealed she would attend the same school the next year. Takane and Haruka won the grand prize at the Culture Festival Awards. On August 15 the following year, the two attended summer classes together before Haruka passed out after Takane left for business.

Kano remembers Ayano rejecting the sacrifice of snake-wielders to reunite with her mother, confronting the snake possessing Kenjirou before jumping off a school roof into the Heat Haze to stop his plans. Although Ayano sacrificed herself, the snake vows to restart its goals. In the present, imprisoned captives are held by their kidnappers. Momo uses her powers to summon the Mekakushi Dan, including Ene in her original body, to their location. Meanwhile, Shintaro finds Ayano inside the Heat Haze.

Jun 29, 2014Kano leads the escaping group through guards using their powers, but they become lost. Hibiya employs clairvoyance to find Kenjirou’s lab, where the snake reveals Marry created this looping world to stay with friends. The snake possesses Konoha, overpowering Kido, Kano, and Seto, and pressures Marry to restart the cycle. Her friends’ words stop her. Shintaro and Ayano arrive, aided by a past Konoha, granting Marry the power to consume everything. Choosing the future over fantasy, Marry defeats the snake, which is destroyed by Konoha’s final wish. Marry briefly reunites with her mother. The story concludes with Shintaro and Ayano in the real world, reuniting with the rest of the group.
