Kaiki finds an anonymous envelope in his hotel room instructing him to stop, which he destroys before calling Hitagi to discuss Gaen and Yotsugi. Hitagi warns him about Nadeko, though she cannot identify the sender. The next day, Kaiki visits Nadeko, offering ¥20,000 and sake instead of the usual ¥10,000. On his return, Hanekawa approaches him, revealing she returned from searching for Oshino overseas without Hitagi or Araragi knowing. Despite Gaen warning her to stay away, she plans to leave again tomorrow. Hanekawa invites Kaiki to her hotel room, where he verifies her loyalty and proposes an information exchange.
