Ep. 21: Hitagi End, Part One

On New Year's Day, Hitagi contacts Kaiki, who lies about being in Okinawa to avoid her. She insists on flying there to meet him, forcing Kaiki to travel to Okinawa to maintain his deception and avoid death. Upon arrival, Hitagi explains her urgent need for Kaiki to trick Nadeko into abandoning her plans to kill Hitagi and Koyomi on their graduation day. With Oshino missing despite Tsubasa’s efforts to locate him overseas, Hitagi has no other choice but to seek Kaiki’s help. Although Kaiki initially refuses, citing his dislike for Hitagi and lack of motivation, he eventually agrees after considering their connection to Gaen's niece Suruga.
