Ep. 22: Children return Pague to his herd after an accidental avalanche clears a path in the snow

Two weeks later, children survive in the Star Hole cave while Pague suffers in the cold nearby. Bell, Shingo, and Chako fail to access the ruins using a card from Adam’s capsule but discover a warm valley inhabited by Pague’s kind. They suspect the ruins are a malfunctioning terraforming machine causing the extreme cold. The group decides to return Pague to his herd, though Adam is reluctant to part with him. They prepare a pulley system for his descent, but Howard triggers an avalanche while chasing a tobihane, smoothing the path. Pague is reunited with his mother, leaving the children sad but reassured. Howard also uncovers hidden sweet potatoes buried under the snow.
