Shingo establishes radio contact with the Orion, a new spaceship requiring a gyrostabilizer, before the transmission ends as the vessel enters the atmosphere. Adam worries about being abandoned, but Luna assures him she will bring him along. The group divides to build signal fires across the island, with Howard managing the eastern site near the Eastern Forest. Kaoru discovers a cave behind a waterfall before the team splits toward the north, west, and south. Rain begins before other fires are lit, yet the Orion arrives from the east, clearing the trees before crashing into the ocean on the western side. Luna and Sharla witness an escape pod detach. The children return to Everyone's House to share information, then proceed to the beach where they observe the freighter stuck on a rock. They light a fire to signal their presence and wait for the storm to pass.
