Ep. 20: Howard Names the Silent Boy Adam While the Group Navigates Daily Struggles and Emotional Conflicts

Howard volunteers to care for a mute boy to avoid hard labor, naming him Adam after mispronouncing Luna’s suggested name. The group studies a card from ruins while Howard attempts to teach Adam to steal fruit, resulting in scolding from Menori. Adam tries to assist with chores but is criticized for his mistakes. He becomes captivated by Menori’s violin playing, ignoring the other children who try to teach him their names. Tensions rise when Howard, driven by jealousy, gives Menori’s violin to Adam, causing her anger. Adam flees and is found crying by Shingo. Menori apologizes and comforts him, prompting Adam to finally speak their names. The group notices worsening weather as Adam and Menori return home together, having resolved their conflict.
