Ep. 4: Greyrat Family Secrets and Rudeus's Departure for Training

The Greyrat family celebrates Zenith’s pregnancy, but joy turns to shock when maid Lilia reveals her own pregnancy resulting from an affair with Paul. Rudeus protects Lilia by convincing Zenith to forgive her, taking the blame despite knowing Lilia seduced his father, thereby securing Lilia’s loyalty. Zenith and Lilia subsequently give birth to daughters named Norn and Aisha. Rudeus receives a letter from Roxy encouraging him to attend the Ronoa Magic Academy. Although Sylphiette does not wish for him to leave, he decides to seek employment to cover her tuition costs instead. Eventually, his parents entrust Rudeus to their friend, the beast woman Ghislaine Dedoldia, who departs the village with him.
