Ep. 26: Yoite chooses life after realizing his value to friends, but dissolves unexpectedly while Miharu waits.
Burdened by guilt, Yoite initially resolves to die alone, believing he deserves erasure. Miharu intervenes, asserting that the fault lies with him for not supporting Yoite’s true desires. However, upon learning that his companions view him as an invaluable friend, Yoite changes his mind. He decides to live out his remaining days to honor the affection shown to him, feeling grateful for his encounter with Miharu. The group moves forward, satisfied with their lives. Later, at Tobari and Hanabusa’s residence, Miharu and Yoite wait for visitors. When Miharu returns briefly after fetching drinks, he discovers Yoite’s body dissolving into the air. Overcome with grief, Miharu vows to never forget his friend, marking a poignant end to their shared time.
