EP 1Miharu Rokujou faces ninja attacks while resisting involvement in the Nabari power struggle.
Apr 7, 2008Fourteen-year-old Miharu Rokujou desires apathy but is harassed by Kouichi Aizawa and teacher Tobari Durandal Kumohira to join their club. After Tobari warns that ninja target Miharu for a hidden power, Miharu ignores the threat until attacked. A voice urges him to fight, summoning plants against the assailants. The voice claims to be the Shinra Banshou, a hijutsu fused with Miharu’s body that grants desires. Tobari knocks Miharu unconscious, explaining the weapon is ancient and inseparable. He reveals the Kairoushuu, the village that created the hijutsu, seeks it and poses a lethal danger. Tobari pledges loyalty, asking Miharu to rule Nabari, though Miharu remains indifferent. Meanwhile, Tojuro Hattori, leader of the Kairoushuu, informs his followers that the hijutsu’s location has been found after ten years.
EP 2Raimei Shimizu Questions Miharu's Suitability and Discovers Village Attack
Apr 14, 2008Raimei Shimizu, a samurai from Fuuma Village, arrives to test the holder of Shinra Banshou. She initially doubts Miharu’s capability and warns Tobari that she will kill Miharu if she joins the Kairoushuu. However, Raimei soon realizes Miharu is not irresponsible or heartless, but rather wishes to avoid harming others. Upon learning Tobari seeks a method to seal the hijutsu, Raimei persuades Tobari and Kouichi to take Miharu to Fuuma Village. They plan to consult Kotarou Fuuma, the village leader and ninjutsu authority, for advice on sealing the technique. As the group approaches the village, Raimei senses danger and discovers that Fuuma Village has been attacked.
EP 3Kairoushuu ninjas attack Fuuma Village seeking the Tenpenka kinjutsushō

During this interaction, she is ambushed by Kouichi and Raimei. She inquires about her brother Raiko, who destroyed their clan and subsequently joined the Kairoushuu. In a separate event, Kotarou evaluates Tobari's ninjutsu capabilities to demonstrate a specific point. The situation escalates when Yoite appears before Miharu, causing Kouichi and Raimei to lose consciousness.
EP 6Miharu Faces Yoite's Ultimatum Regarding His Existence and the Shinra Banshou
May 12, 2008Yoite abducts Miharu, demanding he alter the past to erase his own existence. Yamase attempts to intervene but is attacked by Yoite. Witnessing this, Miharu is offered three options: remove the Shinra Banshou, use it for personal desires, or assist Yoite. Yoite threatens to kill Tobari, Kouichi, and Raimei if his wish is denied. EP 7Yae Oda offers the Izuna Shingan to the Banten clan to hire them for an assassination.
May 19, 2008Yae Oda, president of the Fog Blue Corporation and leader of the Togakushi Village, approaches the Banten clan. She proposes a deal where they assassinate a man named Mr. Frosty in exchange for the Izuna Shingan, which is the kinjutsushō of the Togakushi Village. Oda uses this technique to hold their secrets hostage. Simultaneously, Raimei returns to the Fuuma Village to investigate what has been discovered regarding Raiko.
EP 8Yukimi and Yoite rescue Miharu while Yae vows revenge on Nowake
May 26, 2008Yukimi and Yoite intervene with Miharu as a hostage to stop an assassination attempt. The target escapes to the parking lot, where Yae swears revenge on Nowake. When the other four arrive, Yoite is pushed to use the Kira recklessly. Miharu stops him to protect his friends. Kouichi finishes the mission and hypnotizes Nowake, who accepts the blame. Kato, Yae’s subordinate, is exposed as a Fuuma clan spy and exiled from the Togakushi Village. Yae, promising never to use the Izuna Shingan again, departs.
EP 9Raimei pursues Raiko while Kouichi intervenes and Miharu aids Yoite with Shinra Banshou
Jun 2, 2008A murder propels Raimei closer to locating Raiko, prompting Kouichi to be sent to prevent drastic actions. While Miharu remains with Tobari during his grandmother's absence, the Kairoushuu clan assembles. Yoite experiences life force leakage from Kira usage and departs to find Miharu. Miharu questions Tobari about his secrets and discloses her intention to utilize the Shinra Banshou to assist Yoite. Paleontologist Hanabusa Seki discovers Yoite unconscious near Tobari's residence. Subsequently, Raimei reaches a garden where she is attacked by Raiko.
EP 10Raimei and Raiko face off, resulting in Raimei's fatal defeat and the loss of her sword.
Jun 9, 2008Raimei and Raiko engage in a confrontation where Raiko fatally wounds Raimei and takes her sword, Kurogamon. Meanwhile, Hanabusa discovers Yoite and, noting he shares a room with Tobari, brings him home to treat him with kindness, though Yoite does not reciprocate these feelings. Kannuki, the vice principal of Alya Academy, attempts to capture the Daya and shoots Kouichi during the pursuit. The Daya is revealed to possess healing properties capable of curing anyone, but it requires the flesh of young ninjas as ingredients. During the chaos, Yoite is stabbed by Shijima Kurookano, a student at the academy. This violent event triggers the awakening of the Shinra Banshou, escalating the conflict significantly for the fleeing pair and the pursuing forces.

EP 19Gau seeks to repay Yoite while Yukimi recalls their meeting and the group visits Togakushi Village

Meanwhile, Miharu and Yoite travel to Togakushi Village to meet Yae, aiming to determine how to utilize the Shinra Banshou without the Engetsurin. Aug 18, 2008Tobari recalls entrusting Miharu ten years ago. Miharu and Yoite meet Yae, and Miharu convinces her to use the Izura Shingan to confront the Shinra Banshou. Shinra Banshou tells Yae and Miharu's inner self that she is not granting the wish to save Yoite because it is a boring wish and also not Miharu's own wish. Meanwhile, the Tattegami destroys the Fog Blue Corporation, which was the headquarters of the Togakushi Village, as well as reaches Yae's house to retrieve Miharu.
