Following Raimei and Gau's swift defeat by Hattori, the latter shifts blame onto Miharu, causing the boy to internalize guilt. This emotional turmoil triggers the awakening of the Shinra Banshou, a development that delights both Hattori and Ichiki. Utilizing the Engetsurin, Tobari unveils historical details concerning Miharu's possession of the entity. Hattori subsequently declares his intention to seize control of the Shinra Banshou for himself. Tobari attempts to intervene but is easily overpowered. Meanwhile, Yoite becomes consumed by a singular desire to kill Hattori, escalating the tension among the remaining characters as the supernatural forces continue to manifest their power.
