Ep. 17: Kaname reunites with friends while Sayu overcomes rejection and the group plans a sea village return.
Kaname appears at the surface seeking information, leading to a reunion with Hikari and others. After an examination, he stays at Tsumugu’s house, feeling uneasy about the growing closeness between Tsumugu and Chisaki. Sayu, still attached to Kaname, flees in tears after he fails to recognize her immediately. Miuna argues with Sayu after overhearing Hikari claim Kaname cannot change until he reunites with Manaka. Sayu decides to move on but later discovers Kaname does remember her, bringing her joy. That night, Hikari, Kaname, and Miuna learn that Tsumugu and Professor Mihashi identified a weak point in the sea current around Shioshishio. The next day, the trio dives into the current, following the sound Miuna heard when her Ena first activated, aiming to reach the sea village.
