Ep. 12: Kazuto and Narue face space ninjas at a festival while Rin protects them from a time stasis shield.

Kazuto and Narue join Maruo and Yagi at a local festival, playing carnival games and visiting a shrine before space ninjas trap them in a time stasis shield. Rin intercepts three attackers, enabling the pair to flee into the forest while explaining that a starship forced through a stargate to target them. Kanaka, Bathyscaphe, and Tadashi discover the shield at the festival. Rin provides versatile weapons to Kazuto and Narue as the ninjas catch up. Bathyscaphe captures one ninja, while Rei and Ran arrive for the others. Ran, infected with a berserker virus, betrays the group and attacks Narue. Rin shoots Rei, who shielded Narue, then shocks Ran to stop the betrayal. Messa appears to verify Kazuto’s commitment to Narue before leaving. The shield lifts, and fireworks begin.
