Ep. 8: Kazuto and friends learn how Tadashi met Narumi Mutsuki fifteen years ago

During lunch with Kazuto, Narue, Kanaka, and Bathyscaphe, Narue recounts her mother Narumi Mutsuki’s past. Fifteen years ago, Tadashi worked as a cultural investigator for the Galaxy Federation. Messa arrived to cancel his assignment and order his return to Nihon. Terrified, Tadashi fell into a river and washed ashore near Narumi’s home. She cared for him, and they fell in love. Tadashi explained his mission to study peaceful coexistence among Earth’s cultures, distinct from Nihon. Messa tracked him down, but Narumi intervened and drove Tadashi away. Messa’s android subordinates, Rei Otonashi and Ran Tendo, failed to stop them in the forest. Messa ultimately allowed Tadashi to remain on Earth with Narumi, even after her death.
