Kazuto, Narue, Kanaka, and Bathyscaphe visit the beach. While Kazuto and Narue collect seashells, Kanaka and Bathyscaphe meet Haruna, an exiled alien starship posing as a human waitress. Haruna worries Bathyscaphe will report her, but the retired escort ship has no such obligation. Haruna recalls landing at nightfall, hiding her true form, and falling in love with Akio Shimada, the cafe manager. A tsunami strikes, prompting Haruna to reveal herself and calm the waves. Bathyscaphe rescues Kazuto from drowning. Akio accepts Haruna’s true nature and wishes to stay with her. Rin erases bystanders' memories of the event and no longer needs to track Haruna for military service. Narue is upset about losing her seashells, amusing the others.
