Naruto faces Pain while his other five Paths return. The Asura Path attacks Tsunade, but Naruto destroys it and orders her to leave. She departs and reverts to her original state alongside Sakura. Meanwhile, the toads handle the Animal Path's summons. Naruto engages the Preta Path using Frog Kumite, defeating it before addressing Pain directly. He reveals they were both Jiraiya's apprentices and expresses his desire for peace. However, Pain becomes angered by what he perceives as hypocrisy. In response, Naruto launches a fully completed Rasen-Shuriken at the remaining Paths of Pain. This event occurs during the Pain's Assault arc, specifically episode 12 out of 22.
